Challenge and Concept

At the 2019 Paris Air Show, Airbus unveiled the Future Combat Air System (FCAS)—a revolutionary concept for the future of European air defense.

The challenge: To create an experience that would impress and convince heads of state as well as stakeholders from politics and industry.

Our solution: A minimalist "Holodeck" inspired by sci-fi classics, featuring cutting-edge holography technology and a custom-designed film. Together, they delivered a radically new and immersive presentation experience.

Development

In just 10 weeks, we developed not only an iconic architecture but also a new projection technology. Using a 1:5 model, we meticulously tested materials and lighting while collaborating closely with Airbus on every scene of the 4:30-minute holographic show. Motion and sound designers crafted an immersive experience that combined precision and emotion.

Implementation

The immersive staging and 3D audiovisual show brought Airbus' vision to life in a spectacular fashion. Presented before delegations, stakeholders, and heads of state, the experience set new standards and underscored the importance of Future Air Power for Europe's security.
