Continental: the heart of the intelligent car

Making IoT experiencable: The In-Vehicle Server at CES

  • Debut at CES in Las Vegas
  • Delivered all in one in just 12 weeks
  • Integrated into existing exhibition furniture

Challenge and Concept

At CES, Continental sought to showcase the possibilities of connected cars in a compelling and accessible way.

The challenge: Presenting complex cloud- and electronics-based processes within the car of the future in an engaging and understandable manner for a broad audience—all within a pre-existing display format.

Our solution: A custom exhibit that demonstrates the functionality of the In-Vehicle Server through interactive scenarios, paired with clear and entertaining storytelling.

Development

Our team designed a concept that seamlessly integrates haptics, motion design, and storytelling:

  • Interactive scenarios illustrate the benefits of connected driving.
  • A stylish UX/UI ensures intuitive user navigation.
  • A “light cloud” adds a playful touch and visibility: Our data cloud, a transformed children’s bed lamp, playfully represents technical processes.

Close collaboration with Continental ensured a clear and convincing implementation.

Implementation

We integrated all the hardware into a standard Continental display unit. To maximise audience reach at CES, we developed a broadcast solution that enabled larger groups to follow the demonstration on an XL screen.

The result: A unique exhibit that made its successful debut in Las Vegas, showcasing Continental’s In-Vehicle Server technology in a captivating, clear, and engaging way.
