Challenge and Concept

At the Airbus site in Manching, an Experience Center needed to be realized within just one month – from concept and detailed planning to execution. The objective was to complement the new high-tech simulation hall with an immersive space for informal interactions and a modern conference and workshop room. The challenges included a tight timeline, architectural constraints, and stringent requirements for quality, functionality, and security.

Our approach: A multi-disciplinary rapid response team, drawing on VRPE's in-depth knowledge of the FCAS brand and working closely with Airbus departments to ensure all requirements are met precisely.

Development

Our immersive concept builds on the architectural elements developed for FCAS since 2018, blending emotion, functionality, and atmosphere:

• The immersive space introduces visitors to the world of simulation, highlighting its importance in the FCAS project. It includes areas for information, discussions, and work, along with amenities such as cloakrooms and catering.
• The conference room features a frosted glass window that can become transparent at the touch of a button, revealing the laboratory below.
• Our architects, graphic designers, and lighting experts created a concept that not only impresses but also makes the significance of the FCAS project tangible.

Implementation

Despite the tight schedule, the Experience Center was delivered on time through close collaboration with Airbus teams and departments. The high-quality interior design meets all the requirements of a permanent structure.

The result: A functional, inspiring center with an immersive atmosphere that enables focused work and underscores the critical role of simulation in the FCAS project.
