Airbus: PAS19
Challenge and Concept
Since 1969, Airbus has been shaping the aviation industry and the future of mobility. At the Paris Air Show 2019, Airbus celebrated 50 years of innovation. This was also the first major international appearance for its new CEO. The challenge was to develop a concept that both honored Airbus' history and achievements and communicated the brand's vision for the future.
Our solution: A visionary pavilion that unified beauty, strength, and progress in an iconic building. The design reflected the guiding principle of "the edge of innovation" and became the pulsating heart of the brand during the week-long airshow.
Development
The VRPE Pavilion provided the perfect environment for this ambitious project. Designed and constructed entirely in-house by VRPE, the temporary and modular steel structure meets the standards of permanent buildings in terms of comfort, lighting, climate control, and hanging systems.
The technically advanced and robust exterior was brought to life with an emotional staging—all developed under one roof! The design combined transparency, fluid lines, and innovative materials with reflective surfaces and lighting to emotionally convey the energy and progress of Airbus. Every architectural detail told the story of a brand that continually reinvents itself. Emotional touches and futuristic elements made Airbus' vision tangible and immersive.
Implementation
The reflective facade visually extended the pavilion's boundaries, while warm materials and clean structures created an inviting atmosphere. Visitors were taken on an inspiring journey through the pavilion—a memorable highlight of the airshow and a powerful symbol of 50 years of innovation and progress.
